Provincial Grand Lodge of Down

 

 

Rodney M^cCurley was born, in Belfast in 1946. He attended Ballygomartin School before joining the GPO in 1963, where he remained for a further 39 years, retiring in 2002 as Chief Planning Manager for BT.

He was initiated into Abercorn Masonic Lodge No. 114 in 1974, becoming Worshipful Master in 1986 and then Director of Ceremonies. In 1992 he was invested as a Provincial Grand Lodge Sword Bearer and became a Provincial Grand Lodge Inspector the following year where he was to remain before becoming Provincial Grand Secretary in 2000. He was appointed as a Provincial Assistant Grand Master in 2006, and invested as Provincial Deputy Grand Master on 29^th March 2008.His current responsibilities on behalf of the Province are for :- Grand Lodge Finance Committee, Grand Lodge Outreach Appeals, Provincial Grand Lodge Board of General Purposes, Hall Mergers and the Constitution of Lodges.
